Students from four Armenian universities were invited to attend an online international networking event on 6th November 2023 with students in France, the UK and Malaysia. The event was co-hosted by Dr Amanda Mason and Dr Vanesa Pesque-Cela from Liverpool John Moores University (UK), Mrs Tereza Khechoyan from the Public Administration Academy of the Republic of Armenia, Dr Farrah Robert from YPC International College (Malaysia), and Ms Eszter Gedeon from Université Bretagne Sud (France). There were 62 attendees at the event which provided an opportunity for business students to extend their international networks, as well as develop their cross-cultural knowledge and intercultural communication skills in a friendly space. Students chatted informally in small groups in break-out rooms, sharing their knowledge and experience of studying in their respective countries and institutions. At the end of the event, students were asked to provide a word or phrase to describe the experience, and some of the most common responses included ‘great’, ‘awesome’ ‘interesting’, and ‘exciting’.
