The second course of testing of “EMI Quality Assurance” and “EMI research paper writing skills” educational modules was held today in Shirak State University, which was conducted by the coordinator of Erasmus+ program in ShSU Hovik Melkonyan, a lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature Hasmik Matikyan, and a lecturer of the department of Mathematics, Physics and IT Karlen Manukyan.
The Rector of ShSU Yervand Serobian greeted the participants of the workshop in the newly opened EMI Center, particularly appreciating the role and the necessity of SMARTI Program for the University, and wished a productive workflow.
He congratulated and granted certificates to the participants of COIL program (carried out by Dresden University which is the coordinator of SMARTI Program) from ShSU – Artak Hovhannisyan, an associate professor of Department of History and Jurisprudence, third year students of Translation studies (English-Armenian) profession Ani Atoyan, Mariana Harutyunyan and Aida Vardanyan.
Before the beginning of the Course, external experts of SMARTI Program – professors from partner University of Liverpool Amanda Mason and Casey Beaumont which had arrived at ShSU, had a business meeting with the Rector of ShSU Yervand Serobyan, the Head of the Department of Quality Assurance Gayane Avetisyan, and the head of the Center of Foreign Relations Hovik Melkonyan.
They discussed questions related to the activities that are already carried out in the scope of the Program, and that are being planned for the future.
